Dr. Athanasios Tsadiras is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2002 he completed his postdoctoral studies on Decision Making, Prediction and Strategic Programming, at the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece, supported by a scholarship from the Greek National Scholarships Foundation. He received the PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence (Fuzzy Cognitive Maps and Certainty Neurons) from the Department of Applied Informatics at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1997, supported by a scholarship from the Greek National Scholarships Foundation. In 1992, he received his MSc Degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence from the Department of Computing Science, University of Aberdeen, Scotland, U.K under a scholarship from ‘European Social Funds’. His research interests include fuzzy logic, neural networks, decision support systems, e-commerce and enterprise information systems. He has published more than 50 papers in journals, conferences and books. He is a referee at a number of scientific journals, including Information Sciences, Fuzzy Sets & Systems, International Journal of Computer Mathematics, ΙΕΕΕ Transactions on Neural Networks. He has been involved in several projects concerning information systems, e-learning, web services, etc. He is member of the Greek Artificial Intelligence Society, the Greek Computer Society, the IEEE, and the ACM.
